On 14 April 2004 I was walking in the street in Utrecht, on my way to the Griftpark to read a book in the grass, when I was recognized. It was Laura, whom I sometimes used to meet at concerts years ago. The rest of that day we spent in the park, and in the next weeks she appeared to be the one for me, making me very happy. On 26 April we started a romantical relationship. Soon we sometimes called ourselves LaMa, and on both our front doors a note appeared that read "Huize LaMa" (home of LaMa).
That summer we went on holiday to Morocco, and in Tanger we bought rings for each other. Since that day, we felt, we were married. We officially got married on 26 March 2008, a month after we started living together.
Apart from music for a long time my most important hobby was geofiction, but nowadays my love for my wife Laura is the focal point of my life. I used to sit behind my desk making up stories until late at night, but nowadays I can be happy sitting on the couch watching the television with Laura. I don't write stories about a made-up country anymore. I like music, films, taking photos, bicycling, visiting the petting zoo, reading the Donald Duck weekly magazine and much more. But most of all I love Laura. After so many years every day still feels like I'm going through life on a pink cloud.
