In the first half of May 2007 Laura and I spend a long week in Luxembourg and Switzerland. First we are in a camping in Luxemburg for a few days, but the rain won't stop so we decide to travel further south. We arrive in the east of Switzerland and spend the rest of the week in a remote hotel, the former health spa Val Sinestra. We both very much enjoy the mountains. This is more of a collection of photos with captions than it is a story. Click on the photos for enlargement.
Laura next to the tent at the camping in Esch-sur-Sûre in Luxembourg.
Me at the same camping, the same day, reading Arthur Brown's biography The God Of Hellfire. From here on the photo's will be hazy for a number of days. We did something wrong with the camera.
The city Luxembourg. May I please leave now?
A horse and her foal, somewhere along the road.
The Flüela pass, only opened for a few weeks now. The road lies ahead. The pass leads to the part of Switzerland where people speak Romansh.
A view of the village Sent. At last the photos look normal again. Wikipedia has a view of the same village here, only in winter.
The hotel (and former health spa) Val Sinestra. Just below is the tea-house.
