Kautenbach July 2022In July 2022 I book a long weekend in a hotel in Kautenbach, Luxembourg, as a surprise for Laura's birthday. The destination remains unknown to Laura until the moment when we enter the village.

The river Wiltz (Wolz) flows past the village. Wiltz is also the name of the canton and the nearest town.
Along the river is a railway. Kautenbach is small but has its own train station nonetheless. Public transport is free throughout the country.

A day later we take a slightly longer walk. There are many beautiful hiking trails in the area.
